state the characteristics of a warm front

The characteristics of a warm front are as follows:-
a)The ascent of air in a warm front is gradual, provided warm air does'nt become unstable.
b)the approach of the warm front is signaled by the approaching of cirrus clouds at a height of about 10 Km. ahead of it.
c) the frontal surface acts as a stable layer & sometimes as an inversion layer.
d) Ahead of the frot the pressure falls steadily & temperature rises slowly.
e) At the warm front light, very warm, moist sub-group of tropical air mass i.e., Maritime air mass, rises over dense polar (major group) continental (sub-group) air mass ahead of it.
f) the slope of this type of front is flattened by frictional drag exerted by the Earth's surface on the lower layer.
g) the ascent of the air at the warm front 7 related cloud formation cover a much greater horizontal extent than that of the cold front.
h) the gradual general uplift results in cloud layers increasing in height from low nimbostratus, middle altostratus & upper cirrostratus.
i)It moves at an average velocity of 15m/sec. although it can vertically stagnate when opposed by blocking highs & it takes 18 hrs. for warm front to pass by a given location.
