I had the opportunity to tour cambodia and visit ankor Wat Temple complex, possibly the largest Hindu temple complex in the world in 2019. There I have often come across wrong interpretation of Hinduism. The wrong interpretations were there in Museums, delivered by tourist guides,etc. But most of these, I now realise was from ignorance, false narrative of western authors and historians on their colonies. I was also under the influence of the fact that the Swastik symbol was taken up by Adolf Hitler and when he came to power swastika became a notorious symbol. Even by European colleagues in my last company know that swastika was a Hindu symbol and it didnt mean that harmful to us Hindus as it was for Hitler. However, during all these times from when I 1st read about ww2 in class 7 until today, thanks to our education system. It is often said now days among Bengalees that we are not business material, we are born to work in offices. At maximum, we are good at doing small businesses. We see that most of the businesses in Kolkata, our capital city is dominated by non-Bengalees. If you remember there were Bengalees as film producers in Bollywood not so long ago and now even the local Bengali film and television industry is financed by companies whose owners are non-Bengalees. It makes me wonder that did 34 years of continuous communist presence at government level and in the psyche of the Bengalee community in West Bengal and Tripura pushed the progressive and not so risk averse Bengalee community running after government jobs and salaried positions? lets dive into the time...
