Rohm Nexus Electric cycle Review after 2 years use

My bicycle brand is not very popular and is from Haryana and has no website etc.  It is rather unknown generic brand. I initially checked Hero lectro models but since lower end versions of Hero Lectro didnt had removable battery and I needed removable battery. So, I had to abandon Hero Lectro. I purchsed it from my local bicycle store. However to check the picture and configuration of this cycle I am sharing the link of this website which I accidentally stumbled upon while trying to look for a website of my bicycle's website for future customer care and warranty registration needs, at least what I thought would be delivered to me. Only online Link of my e-bicycle on the internet -  https://bliveevstore.com/product/nexus/ I have used this on bad city roads and for exercising purposes only. I also participated twice on 2 separate cyclothons and maximum distance covered on a single go was 20 kms.It costed me around INR 26,000/- including GST. The body material is no very good qua...

Experience of my latest Alipore Zoo visit on January 2023

I visited Alipore Zoo on 16th January 2023. It was a monday and the midst of ongoing Ganga Sagar mela. I was searching on the the internet if online ticket booking is possible or not.So, yes it is but I physically booked ticket from the counter. If you buy ticket online, you will need to pay GST extra on the ticket. Adult (children >5 years) ticket price is INR 50/ person and children <5 years age is INR 20. Online ticket is avaiable on  https://kolkatazoo.in   and https://eticketaliporezoo.com/ . Since, online ticketing was not advertised by government so much, i was sceptical about fraud websites. Anyways when I reached the ticket counter I was asked if I had online ticket which confirmed that the e-ticket facility was genuine and you can avoid the hassle of standing in a queue. Due to Ganga sagar Mela possibly they had removed the parking facility from and around the immediate Zoo location and parking anywhere around is INR 200 irrespective of time you are parke...

Sustainability of Youtubers as a Life Long Profession: Focus on Travel Vloggers, Moto Vloggers

Youtubing has now become a formal profession and somewhat respected too because of the quick cash part possibly. I dont have any personal experience how much quick cash and how sustainable is it as a "career". I am sometimes quite appalled to see videos where women bathing is part of youtube and for obvious reasons garner high views, may not be subscriptions. The aforesaid example is a very extreme end of the scale, I believe. However, I am very much intrigued by travel vloggers and Moto vloggers which is a high investment work compared to shooting inside your home making funny memes or even shooting your own bathing videos and posting them on youtube as life vlogs. The first travel vlogger I started following was Mr. Varun Vagish / Mountain trekker channel. Although initially I didnt learn about his personal life or profession but he carried a sophisticated aura of an educated soft spoken person with deep insight and thought fullness in his travel approach. This is possibly...

Review of Youtube Documentary silence of Swastik - The Biggest Betrayal of 20th century

Image
I had the opportunity to tour cambodia and visit ankor Wat Temple complex, possibly the largest Hindu temple complex in the world in 2019. There I have often come across wrong interpretation of Hinduism. The wrong interpretations were there in Museums, delivered by tourist guides, etc. But most of these, I now realise was from ignorance, false narrative of western authors and historians on their colonies. I was also under the influence of the fact that the Swastik symbol was taken up by Adolf Hitler and when he came to power swastika became a notorious symbol. Even by European colleagues in my last company know that swastika was a Hindu symbol and it didnt mean that harmful to us Hindus as it was for Hitler. However, during all these times from when I 1st read about ww2 in class 7 until today, thanks to our education system. It never occurred to my or neither any teacher made me think:- 1) why a christian man - Adolf Hitler who was born in a village to a very low level middle class pare...

A Bengali traveller's Review: 9 day Cambodia Trip From Kolkata India

Initially, I planned entry from Siam reap and exit through pnom Penh(capital). However, flight fare dictated us to start from pnom Penh first and exit from Siam reap. Cleartrip.com - Hotel booking cancellation confusion one fine sunday morning,1 month before the trip start date, I received call from cleartrip support stating that my Pnom Penh Hotel booking has been cancelled by the Hotel. In order to avoid these types of issues, I had already contacted the Hotel much before the call to book pickup and use this moment to reconfirm my booking, which both Hotels from Siam Reap and pnom Penh did. Now! this sudden call confused and scared me. I asked the support lady to contact the Hotel and confirm me back as I had already been in contact with them. She called back after sometime stating that yes all my hotel bookings are confirmed. Airlines(forward journey)- Kolkata to Singapore on Singapore airlines, followed by 9 hours layover. It was a midnight flight. New experience! Breakin...

A Bengalis review: 3 day Imphal-Manipur tour

Image
I took a flight from Kolkata airport for imphal. I figured out on the internet based research that there is nothing much to do and I kept the 3rd day of the trip for ukhrul-shirohi peak trekking. I did all the planning and bookings 3 months prior. I took an indigo flight and landed there in noon. The journey is about 1 hour 20 minutes. I had already asked my hotel- sangai continental, to arrange for an airport pickup. Most of the sight seeing spots are close to the hotel I booked. They are close to the city centre too. The imphal airport is quite small, neat, simple but security is quite high compared to Bangalore, paro international airport (bhutan) or Kolkata airport. I have been to all these aforementioned airports personally.on the way down you (flight landing during day time) may get an aerial view of loktak lake. The hotel has sent me ROM cab. There is no ola and uber in imphal, Manipur. There are few other cab services like rom cab, they are be cab, virgin cab.Later...

A Realistic Review of My Bhutan Trip

Image
Before even I start describing my trip, I would like to give a disclaimer about what I am going to write here. Disclaimer:- I am an Indian. I am a Bengali (from west bengal state). I am Hindu and more inclined to science and technology than towards religion (realist). I dont hate any religion. It's not an ideal food paradise for Lactose intolerant /Chron's disease guys. Indian aunties and grannies should avoid wearing saree while visiting this place for their own advantage. Everyone should wear proper hiking shoes with good grip. Historical facts shared here are from my understanding of the book - Raven Crown by Michael  Aris from Oxford University. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I was with my wife and I took a flight from Kolkata International Airport. It was a Drukair (Royal Bhutan Airlines). There are 2 airlines operating out of Bhutan - Drukair (Government run airline...

Visit to Kolkata Police Museum

Few weeks back while surfing for something else, my search result showed the Kolkata police official website. What came in my mind I don't know but I started surfing the website. It took a very brief section of the otherwise white space filled page of Kolkata police website - http://kolkatapolice.gov.in/Museum.aspx I never ever ever heard of this Museum. So, I decided to visit it because I promised me something about criminal history and show me Kolkata's history from a different aspect. So, off we (I mean me and my wife) went on a Sunday morning. Its next to Raja bazar science college, Kolkata. The Museum is located inside police compound so in that sense it was pretty secure and the number of police presence in terms of men and vehicles and ambiance outside the museum got me slightly nervous. Anyways, inside of the museum is maintained by plained clothes policemen. They were nice and courteous and seeing me spending 3 hours in 1 section of the Museum through their CCT...

Off beat Goa travel Destination and overall experience

Image
I have been planning this trip for quite sometimes and finally, when I found flight ticket rates at reasonable level, I first bought my flight tickets. I bought non stop Indigo flight and 1 stop return flight from Goa. We decided to stay in Majorda, Goa at Tree house blue. Tree House Blue has its own website - https://treehousehotels.in/hotels/treehouse-goa/ and profiles in several travel booking websites like - makemytrip.com (I prepaid and booked my hotel from here) ,goibibo, cleartrip.com, etc. This hotel contains quite good review in these websites. However, certain things came to light during the stay. Tree House Blue, Majorda, Goa - Ratings (was staying in room 108) Room Cleanliness - 4/5 (bed sheets and blanket covers were dirty and carried marks of past use) Staff Behaviour - 5/5 (Prompt and professional behaviour) Tipping - 5/5 (No tips solicited) Distance from Majorda Beach - 2.5/5 (We walked for 45 min to reach beach and many parts of the road were deserted,...
