Yashoda Telegu Movie Review
The movie is very much realistic and based on stem cell treatment to reverse ageing using stem cells extracted from human foetuses. the movie is without any song, at least the version I say on amazon prime had no songs in it. I saw it with Hindi dubbing and the dubbing was good, it didnt feel outof place.
It showed how the desire to stay beautiful and relevant, supported with political power and misplaced medical ethics led to the development of a statewide secret organization with its front face as a cosmetics company.
However, in the back end the company was anonymously procuring poor women of child bearing age to become surrogate mothers and taking them to an underground secret facility until they are artificially induced with pain and killed and the foetuses are extracted and stored for stem cell harvesting which are then sold as age reversal treatments to rich people globally.
Initially, the film appeared like a surrogacy scam where surrogate mothers were killed in operation theater in cold blood to get the babies and not pay them. But in the end twist shows it is a stem cell harvesting facilility.
For readers of this blog, let me tell you the purest form of stem cell can be harvested from foetus. There are stem cell banks in India to store your child's stem cell which will be collected by their trained medical staff from the operation theater for 25 years extendible upto 75 years.
Stem cell therapy is extremely expensive and 1 session of stem cell therapy can cost between 15 Lakh to 25 Lakh INR approx. So, it is a lucrative business as shown in the movie. All the actors and actresses looked natural and there was no overacting, no unwarranted song dance scene.
